UI GreenMetric Places University of Kashan 2nd in Iran, 108th in World
The results of the GreenMetric ranking system was announced publicly on December 11 and University of Kashan was ranked 2nd among Iranian universities and 108th among world universities.
It is the first time that University of Kashan has participated in this ranking system and has submitted detailed documents regarding this ranking.
The UI GreenMetric World University Ranking is an initiative of Universitas Indonesia which is being launched in 2010.
The aim of this ranking is to provide the result of online survey regarding the current condition and policies related to Green Campus and Sustainability in the Universities all over the world.
The criteria include such baseline information as the size of the university, both spatially and in terms of population, the campus location and the amount of green space; and also, information on energy use, transport, water use and recycling and waste treatment. In addition, efforts being made by the institution towards establishing green policies and management are among the indicating criteria.
